Traumatic Event Survivors

While trauma is most commonly associated with PTSD and military veterans, many people who experience traumatic events need assistance to fully move past them. Traumatic experiences can take many forms from natural disasters or the death of a loved one to moving, divorce or hospitalization. Unfortunately while there are many potential causes for post-traumatic anxiety, there are few viable solutions.

Renée cares deeply about helping those who have experienced a traumatic event, as she was once in the same position, following a forest fire that destroyed her home and nearly claimed the lives of her and her pets. Acupuncture and the support of family and friends were crucial to helping Renée regain control of her life and she is dedicated to helping others do the same.

Inspired by her experience, Renée has partnered with several organizations to incorporate acupuncturists into the Medical Reserve Corps (link) to help victims of natural disasters to heal physically and mentally. To learn more about this program, you can click here.
